Back in the 70s and 80s when I was more active we used to just approach DMV and say a title was "lost" without mentioning the car changing hands. This was before the Interweb and most computers so it was like 30 days. Just like Jeff Spicoli "Dunno, Sumptin' Hoppened to it Mon". Regardless if you're not GMG looking for the quick flip isn't it worth whatever wait you have to endure and the odds the thing really IS hot?
