Sometimes you can weld thru a nut onto the rounded bolt head and screw them out that way. The heat even helps. And sometimes the nut just twists off......
I'm having a new set of headers made for the '55 Tony..........dropped them off at the shop Monday.
First top of conversation was.......yeah, I want to be able to put a socket head on each and every bolt.
I'll be posting more later in my build thread.
Seems to be a common theme here with most Bangshifters.........lots of special wrenches being made
to work in special conditions.
We're a creative bunch.
BTW..........the chrome reverse wheels are still on the board.
Maybe Santa will bring the wheels! Maybe I should look at different headers too.
worst bolt i had was 3h. some guy with brand new 22" chrome rims tried to install them himself and crossthreaded the nut then twisted the stud so no tools could be used....
well i had to drill the stud out without damaging the rim (yay me)
Last summer I happened onto this guys shop.......actually a young kid to me......does some really
trick welding and makes some really nice headers.
Also some other kinds of performance welding.
One thing lead to another and I pulled the trigger on new set.
The new ones will be all stainless and about a foot shorter........some tubes will be re routed and flow much better.
That 'm effer' bolt was making me think twice last Saturday.
