I'm going to begin marketing and selling helium filled tires. They will lighten the car, thus increase gas mileage! What do you think, a great idea or what?

Re: Great Gasoline Savings Idea...
I think it's a great scam (oops, I mean idea). No need to actually use helium, which is expensive and might leak out faster, as long as the victim (oops, I mean customer) believes in it.

That is surprising.. The comparison wouldn't have raised millions of eyebrows if it wasn't.

I guess it's suprising on some level, but if one car is getting wrung all the way out and the other is basically idling around behind it....it kinda makes sense.
Stick them side by side on the same highway at 65mph....THAT would be interesting

The M3 was being half throttled ----- The Prius was being floored around the entire track.... If they both cruised at a constant speed the M3 would lose considerably.....
It's an interesting but bogus test.....
