Re: How about a forsale forum ( check this out )

The only downside of this idea, is our lour locations don't appear in the sidebar, too many miles apart make a good deal + shipping a waste of buyers and sellers time. But atleast if you're looking for a hard to find item, may find it. And i think our forums make much safer transactions than other venues.

I say NO! There are plenty of "For Sale" forums out there as well as e-Bay. All a for sale area will do is open up a can of worms and bring undesirables here. These are people who troll boards, looking for people to scam. That's the last thing we need here. I say keep it the way it is, keep it SIMPLE!

        And before anyone suggests it;

        No to a Chevy Forum

        No to a Ford Forum

        No to a Mopar Forum

        No to a LSX Forum

        No to a 4.6 Forum

No to a 03/04 Cobra Forum

        No to a Sports Forum

        NO NO NO!!!.....

I have seen this type of forum get totally out of control. With a sub-forum for everything under the sun. Keep it simple and everything will go smoothly.

I agree to an extent. I don't know about scams, but there are people that cruise sites for bargains while NOT contributing to the board's discussions and what not, etc, and so on......

So make a minimum post, with recent activity.

Keep the rest as Simple as it is, NO brand specific's

ok, i be the first to +1 that
people are gonna post stuff for sale no matter what. why not have a seperate catagory for it?
it's not a bad thing, think of it as friends helping friends.

I still think any classified like posts should have an expiration date on it (unlike conventional posts) so parts sold or listed aren't found two years after the fact when the ad isn't relavant anymore. I like the Minimum post and activity as well.
                Escaped on a technicality.
