Bonneville has a lot of variables to deal with, density altitude, temperature, salt conditions, gearing, etc. Bringing a fuel you have good experience with and can easily tune, increases the FUN-FACTOR and trumps the inconvenience of bringing it.

Bonneville is kind of a digital event. It is either full-on FUN or the ECU is set to "Kill". Only 3%-4% of entries set a record. Using an unknown fuel can only add to your frustration the first year and it is doubtful you will close in on the 3%.
