  • Tell us what color to paint our Gremlin

We're about to start a project with our '74 Gremlin and we want to paint it fairly cheap, doing the bodywork ourselves then having it painted by a local shop. Because it won't be perfect, we think it needs a non-metallic single-stage finish. Vote in the poll to help us decide what color to go with.

Also, the finished car will have a slightly modified version of the factory Gremlin X stripes.

I say lime green. It's the perfect color for a Gremlin.

Black looks more evil and aggressive.

White would help hide the imperfections better. And white weighs the least, or so they say.

If you are doing the body work on it,then paint it lime green and the minor flaws wont show.It will also have that eye catching affect.Black on anything other than a pro done job, body work included will only look like a hack.Good luck

I saw a lime Gremlin with a bug catcher hood scoop in Wisconsin when I was a kid. It sounds good on the computer, and I'm a big Limelight fan, but it just wasn't gettin' it on the Gremlin.
