            Was tis picture taken on the Erie Canal at "widewaters" in Knowlesville?I shit you not,a couple years back (now that I think of it,about 10) I was down there in the winter time with a buddy and found the remains of an old car.It was wierd where it was sitting.I had no idea how it could've gotten there,but it had been there a long time.It looked almost exactly like that.I started to use my junkyard skills and recognized the engine as early pontiac with a 2 barrel.Then I got a look at the bumpers.I would bet money it was a 326 powered 64 Tempest (whether 2 or 4 door is anybody's guess!)
            As for this pic,I too immediately saw the goofy X frame and knew it was a late 50's/early 60's GM.

              I'm pretty sure that's a Chevy, my justification is that while Buick's were X-framed 61-64 (except for Riviera which as X-framed till 70) is that that doesn't look like it has BOP-C horns on the trans bellhousing. Buick's also all use shaft mounted rockers till the Series I 3800.
