Loren's Vega canyon racer was almost in a magazine back when until they found out it was a canyon racer...I am assuming it was this one since he won't actually tell me which one...Hmmm

Sweden and Finland accept 132277lb,but Scania says 396832 lb for maximum total weight for the R730.

And Norway accept 59 feet long trailers, but some roads are approved for 78 feet.Sweden accepts 78 feet all over,it seems. The rest of Europe probably have the 59 feet rule too.

I found a vid of the Scania on the tube...max finish there..

                              the scania is impressive..
132k pounds is not uncommon in the woods here..but breaks stuff badly.
                              I even remember broken crankshafts.
I saw torque convertor as part of the scanias equation and I hope they are not into fibbing things.
at 730hp factory build 2580 ft pounds seems very real, and trust that number given..
very nice rig. Would love to have that drivetain in an american conventional.

My dad is looking again for the bigger engine this year. this wekend he takes home a 565hp and 1850 ft pounds. this is factory, no mods. he usually steps it up if it can be done easy (like removing EGR)

in america an 1850 foot pounds breaks things.
to see over 2500 foot pounds...wow.
the v8 is necessary balance. the bigger the scania v8 gets, the sadder I am getting... I knew it was going to happen.
american roads and that engine has alot of room. I hope it just simply goes to some world trade agreement.

scania may set the pace for the world...dumbasses with inlines might catch on some years later.

..and awesome photos of the 730. the artwork is quite serious.

I'll post my dads next rig when it happens, he changes his mind alot (has every right too).
