Yup. Little Chevys of varing displacements. Car is still around. Driver Joey Heffernan does my alignments on the Mustang.

Well, I disagree about pulling a seat.
Just behind the front bench in my stretched '64 Chrysler would do nicely aswell thank you

Kaiser Darrin, instead of the doors opening outward, they slide into the front fender. I think they had fiberglass Bodies, probably Kaiser's answer to a sports car?

                  • It's been about ten years since a guy I was doing some work with sold his '70 340 'Cuda...I was kinda on his butt about it until I found the new owner was another guy in town, a freind-of-a-freind. The new guy tore the whole thing apart and set about making it a Hemi car, basically his dream vehicle. He hired yet another acquaintance to do most of the work, and together they did a beautiful job. My involvement came when the brand-new crate 528 Hemi was on the floor and my Chevy mechanic buddy literally showed up at my doorstep and said he'd buy me any lunch I wanted as long as I'd eat in in their garage and please explain how the f'n valve covers are supposed to come off. Yep, I earned me a ten-dollar sandwich by making the one comment "Pull the spark plugs out first, dumb-ass!". Very funny.

Those were the days I guess. They got educated about Hemis and all the other Mopar stuff, finished it up, and every bit of work on it was gorgeous and you couldn't tell it wasn't an original Hemi car, slightly modified. Also it did burnouts through all three gears as you might imagine with a near-stock tire size.

He must have been demonstrating that to a couple of buddies two weekends ago when he lost it, nailed a low concrete retaining wall on the side of the street and blammo, did a pretty violent roll into a neighbor's driveway. Besides instantly destroying his 5/yr 100k investment he got his spine tweaked and the guy in the right front seat broke his arm good but the real thing was, there was a dude in the back seat wasn't buckled up and was thrown I guess through the back window and killed.

So...there's all that, plus some prison time coming with there having been a couple of consumed beers involved. Say "hello" to a new life of resentment and guilt, from there.

Drive safe. You just never know how a day is going to end up.
