It is awesome that you raced with Bud Faubel. Did you ever see his turbo Hemi car run?Last edited by Grumpy; December 28, 2011, 11:30 PM.sigpic

These were from the heyday of Walt Prey's era. These were taken in the early 70's on Burbank Blvd at Bill Carter's shop. Bill had everything imaginable on covers of magazines. Tow rigs, bikes, Lowriders, ski and drag boats, every class of race car, etc. He still is one of the best painters I know. These shots are of Dale Gould's Caddy in front of Carter's shop. That Caddy was off the charts with it's Targa style top and Ferarri wire wheels. Walt may have striped it, as he striped a LOT of stuff that came out of Carter's. I remember a sign in Carter's....Pearl paint job $200, metalflake $225. Union Sub next door had the best sub sandwiches under the sun

This is something I'm pretty proud of. When I was a kid growing up in New York in the 60's, I'd see SoCal guys in the magazines wearing these. I thought that was the BEST name/theme for a car club. Big Willie presented this to me himself around 20 yrs ago at his drag strip on Terminal Island
