it is not common to find hardwood groves in this area.
most beautiful place I have found.. I am a southern new england kinda guy.
I hate pine trees with a passion. Click image for larger version

I found an old map with "town road" on it..
this should have been part of it.
I ponder history was altered like bangor maine.
towns in wrong spots, and named incorrectly.

the town I am in has the cemetery as the best piece of land.
must have been the religion of a long boat ride .. town founders. 1820 had no machines yet.

just bizarre. then learning of the moguls with no clue but money.. locking reality down for nothing.
At least this tract does not get raped with chainsaws.
I could live out here forever.
    beech and birch, etc..

I found this place when I was 16 or so...in the autumn on an ATV.
    1988.
even the damp was overruled in the colors and sun.
    the scents..
most amazing thing I had ever seen...and it was dead silent.
what really startled me was my complaints of pine trees.. I was a teen only in maine 1 year.
I come around a few bends to find this as miles long..simply wandering aimlessly.
    blew my mind.

12miles on an atv out here seemed a billion acres of dreams.
    4 hours in the truck.
    I don't believe in ghosts..
that same evening, I awoke with the scent of this place. I knew I was home.
and there was war...and this was before gulf 1. Before a hint of it.
I was 16 and this was very old.
and there was this woman I had never seen in real life..
to this day...as if she knew me.
unusual with dark eyes, queenly serious and blond hair of multiple shades, and dark eyebrows..
    tall for a lady.

My grandma deciphered "dutch". They ran if peace was hopeless.

    stories untold? I think so.

    • This afternoon, from the front yard. Four radial engines in unison make quite the sweet noise.

                    nah, more like a hyena.
we had one on the hood of a scout, it was running with its front legs.
we thought of moose as dumb.
we were chasing one at the dirt roads speed limit 20 or so.. they do not get out of the way.
"if it does not get out of the way. I am going to hit"
approached slowly.. it simply sat on the hood.

we ended up laughing our butts off as it sat on the hood with front legs running.
we were spooked to see a camera..
ran away thinking we were in trouble,

have no clue who may have a one of a kind shot...cool thought.

found this in my closet. Click image for larger version

                    as classic as hot rods.
                    by 1976, they sold 60million.
zebco 33 is the common one.

this one is from 1996...and called classic.
bought from a military bx while in uniform, with military colors.. called a GT edition.
                    20 something bucks.
                    today?
                    still 20 something bucks.

cross spider, intimidating version. Around that time, interest was peaked for this photo, as canadians were finding similar monsters.
                            not common cross spider.

I forgot this one that went into a given copyright with a 1 megapixel camera.

that is also my first nickname until targetted for something...
false ID or forum hacked. Can't remember.
started using that in 1999. (I got hacked to the point of needing gov't help)

my oldest nick now, never bothered.. is bgd99

the one person I was interested in chatting with was a fellow veteran.
he passed on. I simply leave my nick there, active.

                            facebook has better controls today.

here is this cheap microwave that survived a nuclear air force veteran for 17 years. Used Every Single Day.
the door made the same sound on sept 11, 2001 as I sipped my coffee and heard the NPR announcement, as it did today.. its final use before dying.
                                Today is also chernobyl day.
                                seems appropriate.

Maybe a half life ending, for clean beginning...

this blew a breaker on a circuit nothing to do with it... a peculiar sound, like overheard power wires make sending an arc across 6 feet.
I know it went out as a nuclear blip...in this land of radon called maine.
                                The End.
                                sept 1998-apr 2016

kidding aside, I brought the fail upon myself. I took my truck down a trail that had an active element. Natural.
I cleaned the truck to keep it safe, came back in the house..per many years routine, popped a cold coffee in.
                                Killed it.
Forgot to clean my hands after cleaning the hellement off the truck.

                                anyway..
