The picture doesn't really enlarge well enough to be certain, but simply looks like chloritically altered porphyry or granite. The black speck's are likely either hornblend or biotite. Having some of the kids over from Europe, Irene and I took them to Chicago yesterday.
This way Granddaddy Gerrit could watch the Air Show :-)
I'm not a huge fan of big towns but I have to admit Chicago is an awesome city.

No GM (Holden) didn't build the 65 BelAir with a one tonner option in Australia but there have been a few more doors made into them.
I brought an half done one many years ago as a parts car, this is one that has been done well.
