this photo of the rare eclipse for this august.
first one in 40 years for lower 48.
it seems long term defining in away.
maine segregated as having the most sun (it is the darkest of the lower 48)
the northwest is wet at all times...does not care what the sun is doing.
Florida.. it does not care either.

A few things from recent weeks
Got myself a chin spoiler from Spoilers by Randy, came with blocks to lower it, but I think I like it just like this.
Finally have FM Radio (and 8-Track of course) Got it brand new still in the box.
This just made me happy

I was a boy in the 70s, for some odd reason, this vision, and a guy with an air tube outsmarting an enemy was stuck in my head.
I was 5 years old and my mom yelled at me and my brother for taking a floatable winter sled into the swamp behind the house.
1978.
I was playing soldier.
Playtime climaxed when I was 10 in 1983.. we dragged pallots behind the house at the swamps edge and made it incognito with brush...and we had to whisper to talk.

And they quickly turn into morons when they drive off with the nozzle still suck in the filler. The local gas stations here have installed warning stickers on the pumps warning of a $500 charge for driving off with the the nozzle still stuck in the filler.
