Looks maybe to be a falling axe.. Long handle. Narrow head, used to notch trees before hand sawing the back cut.
Head is likely longer than any you can find.

I took this one unintentionally, trying a 20 dollar camera I recently purchased.

                  • O.K. Call me a purist. Call me a troll. I turn 65 this month, it won't matter. I HAVE to ask.... This is a beautiful, historic car. It will draw hundreds of thousands at Mecum. BUT, How much money did they save/make by putting M/T tires on it instead of Goodyear? And the fronts say "ET Pro"?

                    • Looking back at the pics I could find, Da Grump pretty much ran any tire that fit his needs!

                      • I'd find some M&H slicks and Moroso fronts. One pic I checked had him on Firestones. M/T was barely in the race tire game then.

                          • I've noticed that whenever a garage/barn find is bought outside, it's almost always wet...........weird coincidence.

                            • Yup. Rained the day before, and rained on the way home right after this munchie stop. Fortunately it held off while the actual extraction process occurred - must be living right at times?

Notice the slicks tied down on the front of the trailer? Those are a vintage pair of M & H RaceMasters on Cragar rims the lady was kind enough to toss in with the Beetle.
