                • There's that wagon...I was wondering about what happened to it the other day when I came across this:

                  • On last Evening's Hot Wheels TV show,
they described how the Metallic Paint on
Them, isn't really Paint, it is a "Film Heat Vacuumed"
                    on, and Clear lacquered.

                    Looks Cool

My best bud in the latter half of grade school's mom got one of those Buicks, to replace one of these, back in the day when families had wagons:

They thought their old Ford was so ugly, I remember making a stand for it one day and saying how cool I thought it was with the curved back window. The Buick was pretty though, at the time we had a 67 Impala wagon, also nice. I never cared for the 71 full-size re-design. All of those cars lined up the junkyards in the '80s, very difficult to find one now.

                              • I worked on one of those trucks earlier this year making an interior engine cover for a Cummins. Was interesting, the doors are standard pickup cab doors with the corners cut off and a special stamped panel added, which made replacing a door easier for the owner, just get a normal door then do that bit of fab work. I see the truck above has kept the front full-width track instead of swapping to a pickup-truck frame, it looks good. I'd sure want to make that a stake bed though, remember the seventies when custom stake beds were common?
