  • Re: Pic of the day.

While I was at Maxton last weekend it rained stupidly bad. A few pic on my way to work.

Bad picture, but that is the local 1/8th mile track covered by 3 feet of water. If you look below the far guard rail you'll see brown where you should see the track.

Anybody want a deal on a damaged RV?

They never really changed that car much,
but they were very popular, so it makes so much sense
      that GM would kill it.

I believe it paced some interesting races too.

A very nice picture of Scott's cool '67 Chevelle Malibu engaging just after push off,
taken by Steve (rightpedal) at Maxton this weekend.

Does life get any better than spending a day at the races?

I remember that article. Quite a few toys in GM's box then...they had the "Push-me Pull-me" Citation X-11, the quad-steer Camaro, the ZL1 Camaro, the WildSide pickup, the '95 RWD Monte...back when GM still had fun.

The RWD Monte ahhh, I can still remember looking at pictures of that car when it first came out while sitting in a isle in a Foodland. Everytime I see one on craigslist I think "what if".

Something tells me the dude with the lot full of campers is happier than hell for that flood.

The insurance companty will cut him a massive check for inventory that probably would have grown roots on his lot.
