Just a pic I took on my B-day a couple of weekends ago.
I drove through there at night once and it was awesome. Being far from the city the sky is filled with stars except for the big black holes where the "monuments" are.
The pic was taken in Monument Valley. It's on the Utah/Arizona boarder on the north eastern side of Arizona. We also hit Four Corners that day, that is where Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado all come together. Yap I was in four states at once. ;) Here's a pic of me and the boys. And by the way we found the puppy at a gas station on the Res, so we decided to bring her home.
And here's a pic of the big hole in the ground on the other side of the state. We went there the Tuesday before we went to Monument Valley.
And here's one more shot while we were driving on the dirt road that takes you into Monument Valley.
And I have to say the Indians sure do have some of the prettiest land in the country.
I was trying to remember what that monument looked like this morning, I was telling my son and his friend about when we stopped there when I was a kid (probably in 1969?)
Hey Tubbed, did you happen to get over to Lake Powell.Alot of the same kind of landscape only with the most awesome body of water to be seen.Looks like you had a great trip.congrats!!!
