                I don't know, maybe it is just the time I saw a lift fall, but I wouldn't ever want to keep my cars stacked like that over each other

                  Toad, the lift can't fall. there are safety latches that most times are thinker than the metal holding up the car..
                  and on a 4 post lift there are 4 that have to fail..
                  3500lb car devid by 4. they are not holding much..

                    They may have safety latches, still wouldn't trust one, not after I saw an empty one fall, just a 2 post

                        Thsoe four poster lifts have optional diaper type things that hang under the cars to keep them from dripping.

                            Putting those 8 cars up on lifts (instead of extending the building) saved that guy around $80k in construction costs and $8,000 per year in taxes / utilities. You can buy a lot of paint jobs for that kind of scratch.
