      • One of our totally awesome customers loaded up his combine wobble-box in his truck and brought it to us for repair yesterday.

Love his truck. Almost entirely original and still used like a truck.

        • There is a bi-annual large auction held in the adjoining county, we usually send some stuff that way. This year we had a trailer-full of old iron.

          • A friend of mine, his college-age son found this little gem needing a new home and some love. I am thrilled that he is adding a new generation to our buggy group, and he is thrilled to be wrenching on it. Super cool.

              • Would love to find out what those tires are. Anyone have any ideas?

The picture looks vintage - except for the car in the garage and the eagle/flag on the front. Those make me think it is a newer deal?

For that matter, what IS this thing? At first glance I thought "Brubaker Box" on a 4x4 chassis.....but closer inspection says that is incorrect.

                  • That's an Astro van in the background, so this can't be any older than mid to late 80's, probably much more recent. Unfortunately I know nothing else about it. Just another one that caught my attention.

By the shape of the windshield and the vents below it it appears that it started out life as a 65 to 67 chevy van.

                      • Oh Ye who doubt the awesome power of Google! Searched "Orange custom 4wd van" on images and got this:

1966 Chevy, recently changed hands on E-Bay. Goes by the name "Agent Orange". I thought cab forward chevy by the GMC logo on the grille but the whole nose cap is so much reshaped along with the gull wing conversion. More details as they develop.

Vintage van forum, the guy's phone number is on page 2 as of 2010.

                            • Google-Fu is strong with this one.

My my cousin and I spent a decent part of this evening decoding those tires. They are Mickey Thompson Baja Belted.....and apparently in Australia you can pick from 4 different tread patterns on the same tire shell. Interesting.

And I can now add a ‘66 chevy van 4x4 to my bucket list. Thanks!

                              • That sure opened my eyes on Pinterest. I just subconsciously hate it though. Weird interface and no details or even a place to PUT details. I'll leave combing it to those with more patience like (apparently) Tedly.
