Ohhhhhh…. the LATE MODEL C3, THAT C3. The ones with single catalytic converters where Chrysler sprung for two for squad cars? I guess I hit some nerves back then. I thought I spoke well in complete words. Let's try abbreviations, L71, LT1, L88, ZL1? If I say a '68 Dodge Dart is underpowered am I saying a Super Stock Hemi Dart is too? Don't put words in my mouth. I'm not sure where your fingers have been.

          well YOU said C3, so........

and whats the difference between a hemi dart or a S6 dart
thats had a k-member swap and a hemi or 440 shoehorned in?
same deal applies--a stock 305 or 350 'disco' vette may be slow,
but its nothing one of your abbreviations wont fix. like an LS-6
knockoff. been there, done that, got it sitting in my garage.
im not just talking trash on the internet.

not putting anything in your mouth as your feet are usually in the way.
as for where my fingers have been, lets not go there as i
guarantee you will get upset over my answer.

            there are MANY C3's going 12s, 11s, 10s, even 9s on the
stock IRS, albeit with some upgrades.

            but most stock 10-12 bolts/9" / 8.75" etc...wont take a 9
second pass without a few upgrades either....

ID:	1245708 This kind of conversion needs to happen more often. I don't like the missing rear bumper but I'd love to hear THOSE pipes.

                              • "Chrome" Centerlines with 18" fronts in 15" tires...a writer who doesn't know enough about cars to be writing about them, and an editor asleep at the wheel, no wonder this is the first time I've looked at Hot Rod .com in a year. The built-at-home thing is refreshing however, just like how it used to be done. I've put many miles riding shotgun in '70 Barracudas due to a buddy's owning them in high school and later. I always loved the wide stance and low-to-the-floor seating and had a couple '70s myself, both mis-fired projects though. You can bet I'd like them back but everybody says that.

To back up a couple of posts...that El Camino, wow. What a bunch of -interesting- work. That, I would like to hear the story on.
                                ...
