  • [QUOTE=RockJustRock;n1278235]Stop sign 1 Bro dozer 0. Are the cab corners really that rust prone?

Absolutely. All brands. My '89 Z71 didn't get driven much & in the summer I was constantly battling wasps that would take up residence in the rusted out cab corners & rockers.

    • I was sorting pics and came across these... This is in Carlisle Ohio and is a 25 ton Hamilton fender press. If I remember right, these were made in Hamilton Ohio by the Hamilton foundry in 1923? or so... They were pressing out repop model A front fenders. The dies were newer but the machine was still original. I found this a couple buildings down from where i was working at the time, by following the noises it made. I can't imagine the noise that the Ford factories must have made.

        • Is that a Combat or a Commander with the cylinders painted black?
I had a 72 Combat - very nice ride back then.

                • He has also built a couple 1969 P11's. one is currently under construction. the other won show awards and was sold... He can spot an original P11 oil tank at a swap meet from 1000 yards.

Cool beans! Dave told me he was going to be in a feature piece about the Banana Boat at some point, has that come out yet?

On another note, Red made his mark photo bombing at land speed events. His very first time out in Ohio at the very first event held there, he got in HRM twice during the story but you had to look real close. They were taking a photo of a real car and there's Red in the background. Twice. Sort of like IRBob's blue cooler. I was dragging through the files a few days ago and found this one from Arkansas. I don't know what it's associated with (HRM?) but there we are again.

And on a parallel but dissimilar note, Sue Unit forwarded me this one for our dining pleasure:

ID:	1278877 If so, I was in tech behind that guy. He wasn't pleased, he wanted to pass for 175 but they would only clear him for 150. If I remember correctly he was having some problems and didn't get but about 130 out of it all weekend and threw the chute one time because he'd brought one and wanted to toss the laundry. And I remembering all of that right?
