1963 Pontiacs on inside row one and two with Fords on outside rows. 63 was the end of Pontiac dominance in Nascar due to corporate BS.

        • Maybe the folks who were lost but making good time were lost because they didn't have a smart phone just like I don't have a smart phone. But if they had a smart phone they could...(I'm speechless, just sayin).

EDIT: I just now realized this reminds me of a story. I was at one of the paper mills in Canada. They told me about a major disaster they'd had a couple years earlier. The guys on one of the paper machines called maintenance because the overhead house crane was hitting the overhead lights. The electricians came and made all the overhead lights' cables shorter, figuring they'd all stretched over time. No, they'd had an epic blizzard and the roof was sagging just before it caved in entirely.

                              • Back in my Super Truck Driving Days....
Most Famous was the "Two Stick" gearboxes, a Front Box and a Back Box.
SO you had multiple combinations depending on the Two, and the ratio's of each. 4x3, 4x4, 5x3 or 4......
And for Shits and Giggles through in a 2 Speed Rear Axle......
These were all to get the Old Diesels with a Torque Band of 1,800 to 2,100 RPM and had 220 HP, to pull large loads out west or construction grades. (Or make a Detroit 238 look like a Real Truck !!)
The only vehicles with Wonky Shift Patterns were some military surplus vehicles I drove that were "On Site" trucks.
