Given up for dead in the 90's....when my buddy said he "needed" an old tank of a garden tractor - I said I know of just the thing for ya.
Its a '61 Original Cub Cadet and remarkably unmolested. Turns over, seems to have decent compression, even the fuel isn't all rank and nasty. Oddly enough.
Of course, it doesn't currently steer due to a frozen right front spindle, but hey, the price was right.Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

Nice to see some Tedly pics again.
Below is me (the old guy who needs a haircut in case you're having trouble) last weekend, a buddy wanted to take his 'Cuda out and I wanted to see the St. Francis dam site. See: St. Francis Dam - Wikipedia A cool drive loop through the mountains for anyone in the L.A. area, San Francisquito Canyon north, Elizibeth Lake east, Bouquet Canyon south.
We did the first leg of the year-2000 Power Tour in this car on my birthday, 22 years ago. Same paint, same motor, swapping carbs in a parking lot in Flagstaff.Last edited by Loren; June 7, 2022, 08:09 AM....
