i'm with freiburger on this one, i love the cars, but i think the whole "lets get the prices up into the absurd range" crap has hurt hot rodding. every old rotted out car that hasnt run in 25 years is now supposed to be worth a shit pile of money. not! i wont watch out of principle.

I won't watch because I don't get that channel on my TV.

And I won't drive 200 miles up there either.

This happens everywhere where 'the loaded ones' play with their money and investments. In this case it's cars.
Most of them don't give a damn what kinda cars they're buying, as long as it brings up a lot more when they sell it.

if people have money to spend on 100% restored, rare examples of classic cars, more power to them. i have a problem with people spending retarded amounts of money on well publicized fakes...err...i'm sorry, "recreations". either buy the real thing or don't, but please don't encourage peopel to ruin restored and restorable examples of cars to make fakes of less common editions of the same platform.
that is what killed the financial side of the hobby. rare cars drawing big bucks has been a theme for decades, when people pay 95% value for a pretend rare car, that is a problem for the rest of us.

The exact reason I dont have a muscle car. Cant afford to pay 10g for a rust bucket. Thank for making or hobby not affordable. I wont even turn to the channel while its on. Not to mention they should call SPEED, NASCAR tv insted.

I saw a rusted out S**T Bucket 65 Plymouth Barracuda the other day for $5500. I wanted to kick the guy in the Jimmy for even trying. I stopped to look at it and the Guys name was JIM. I just smiled and walked away Cause all he needed was the Kick at that point.
