  • LSR Sorrow

Most of you here are just becoming aware of Land Speed Racing either at Bonneville, El Mirage, Maxton, the Texas Mile, or several other new venues coming. As you know racing is dangerous, and today (09-03-08) we lost a competitor during the Bub Motorcycle event being held at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Cliff Gullett had a high speed crash in his motorcycle streamliner and succumbed to his injuries later today.

My heart aches for his family & friends.

    God Speed Cliff Gullett
There are very few people in this world who's opinion I value, you are not one of them.

Mike, sorry to hear about the accident and the passing of Cliff Gullett. It is dangerous business, no doubt about it.

What can you say? Hope his family finds whatever solace they can. That's MY sport, and I know it's dangerous, but no one ever wants to see anything like this happen.

Always sad when someone goes like that.......Sounds cliche but at least he was doing something he loved.
