check out this trailer, the guy says it a American Graffiti, but set in 1977. found this over on the yellow bullet.

just a note to thank you guys for giving my film, Cruise Night, a push.
I also wanted to relate that I am not, "...trying to sell the idea to the movie studios", as R/T Kora stated. My company will produce the film and we are already gearing up for production.
I will have to partner with a major studio for theatrical release, as it costs $15-25 million to distribute a film worldwide, but, I promise, the film will not suffer for it. It's all about distribution. I may have to sell off a big chunk of my company to do it, but Cruise Night will be in theaters. I want car guys everywhere to be able to see it.
I am currently buying and building the main movie cars. Please hang in there as you all know how long it takes to build one good car. Well, multiply that by ten and then build each one correct for 1977 and you'll know where I'm at right now...
