  • Listened to you guys

Thanks for convincing me to fix the loose cam bolt. Now. I knew this would happen I couldn't just stop here and put it back together. Have it to a bare short hanging by a chain getting the block fully detailed and painted. Adding a baffled pan (home modified stocker). Will hopefully have it back together and dropped in tomorrow. Steel crank 340, bore and bearings look good, 040-over Speedpro's.

added the words up top. Can swap next week on the dyno, that is why I didn't want to go in an open it up right now to tighten the cam bolt.

Uhmm, Scott, that thing is called a gear puller. Proto Proffessional, not cheap, but about the best you can get.

Maybe it's the lighting but it looks like a marriage of a pick ax and a pair of tire machine rods.

I see it now. Yours looks like it has lived a more useful life than that one.

                      Same as my poor body.

I'm amazed that you could get that big thing between the motor and radiator.

We need pics of the finished product and of the car.

I wiped out a couple of lobes on my Mustang when I forgot to tighten up the cam bolt after installing a new timing chain :'(
