                  as far as i know. old owner setup the suspension- hooks decently, as long as only one 4 barrel is opened up from a stop

                    Traction bars are designed for leaf spring suspensions. They reduce "axle wrap" which can lead to wheel hop. Your coil spring suspension has a four-link set up. If the bushings are sound and all is set correctly, you won't experience axle wrap. You could install some air bags within the springs to tighten the suspension.

                    You might want to remove the traction bars before someone calls "foul" on 'ya. Peace.

                      Probably SSM Lift bars.

                      Popular and they work good on A-bodies. You can see the arm coming towards the front that kinda looks like a slapper bar.

                      At least that's my guess.

                            Chevelles specs:

                            stock body and interior, power steering, front disc/rear drum non power. no heat, no AC, no radio. M-21 4 speed with a hurst, 12 bolt rear with 3.73's. engine is a 454 bored to 460, forged crank and rods, forged domed pistons with 11:1 compression, heads are from the 427 that was in it previously, blue rocker cam(I think. havent looked at spec sheet in 3 years), moroso oversized oil pan, edelbrock 2x4 intake w/ dual 600cfm carter AFB's.
