Something about holding people at gun point in a hotel. Seems the government considers that a punishable offense.
Now, if someone in prison would decide to use him to build their reputation and shove something sharp between his ribs, that'd put a nice tidy bow on the whole thing.

I think his incarceration is all part of his plan to find the "real killers".
They weren't on the golf courses, so now he's going on "the inside".
