What do you tow your yacht with?

Earlier today I picked up a TH400 from the other side of Geelong, about 120 mile round trip from my place.
On the way back in the distance I see a trailer that is loaded with three small dinghies so I sped up to have a better look.
I wasn't looking at the trailer for long!

These are the best I got whilst driving at 65 with the phone :-\

Must be working the hell of that Camaro....look at all of the brake dust on the front wheels(at least the left side).



Proves that you CAN tow stuff with a newer car.....just gotta wonder if it WILL show up due to te mess we have going on here,.

Not exactly a yacht but its paid for VW 1.6 turbo diesel in the Samurai.

It must have been one of the test cars from the GM engineering plant in Port Melbourne.

I imagine some engineer thinking to himself Friday afternoon "I've got to tow that trailer this weekend, that black car over there has a tow bar, that will do".

Usually the test trailers are smaller enclosed box trailers that have some kind of adjustable load that they can control from the cabin, that trailer didn't look like a test to me, looked like he'd been sailing :D. It was also 4:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon.

Here at Ford we have pretty strict rules on how test cars can be driven, and towing is a big no no unless it is part of a test. I'm guessing somebody is working outside the rules, or - it is in fact a test of some kind... can't imagine those light and relatively aerodynamic boats (compared to a box trailer) would give that drive train much trouble.
