Drag Racing in Puerto Rico

The wife and I went to Ponce, Puerto Rico last week. We found out they raced on Tuesday nights, so I just ahppen to suggest a dinner location nearby that night. Driving over to the 1/4 mile track with a Quality Inn (and water park) attached, stands on one side, ocean/beach on the other side. I convience her we should race the rental car, and pull up to the gate. Addmission is $7 - to spectate OR race. I pay real quick, then forget I don't have a helmet - ask - but no problem, none needed on Tuesdays. And no tech line that I saw. Ends up it's a street racer night, to help keep kids off the street, and race ON the track. I ask when it gets going, and I'm informed in about 2 hours. With it being 7:30pm now, the wife shock her head - and they gave me my money back... and I didn't see any racing. Was a stout looking 78-82(?) Mustang there, a few Honda's, and more pulling in as we pulled out.

Also found out there are 4 tracks in PR. Maybe a PR Drag Week sometime...?
