Wow. Good thing I don't even have IE installed.

About 70% of our users are on IE.

Said it before, and I'll likely say it again - LOVE my MAC.

one story I read quoted a microsoft weenie saying something about no, you should not use a different browser. Effin' idiots should run for office....they have the right mindset.

I started on the internet using Netscape Mosaic 0.9 in 1995, haven't used IE if I could avoid it ever. And mostly I can avoid it. There have been a couple web pages that were written to only work with IE, but not many.

                  Hey Squirrel
I downloaded this Firefox.......pretty cool....... it switched over all my IE bookmarks.
Any issues I should look for?

Re: Microsoft Releasing Emergency Patch For Perilous IE Flaw

Yeah, you move your mouse over an ad image, and right click. Notice the "block images from xxxxx..." selection....if you do that on several web pages, you'll get rid of most ads. Although you need to be slightly careful, if the URL of the ad server is the same as the URL of the web page you're on, don't block it! that's the case with this web page. Most ads are served from places other than the web page you're looking at, so this works real well to block banner ads.

also there are these things called "extensions", which are addons, my favorite is flashblock, which makes all flash stuff (videos) show up as a blank image with a play arrow, so if I want to watch it, I click on it. That gets rid of most of the other ads.
