This is a joke. A debacle. $17.4B flushed down the toilet. Nice farewell Christmas present for the American citizens, Mr. President.
I totally agree. But the $17.4B was already flushed down the toilet as far as I'm concerned...they just diverted it to another pipe.

Ever have a bad toothache, and you keep taking aspirin, eating on the other side of your mouth, avoid cold beverages and sweets in an effort to make the problem fix itself? People will live with the pain of a tooth for months--and sometimes longer--to avoid that hour if discomfort in the dentist's chair.

On a national level, we're going to great lengths to avoid the inevitable conclusion... We all need that bad hour in the chair to eventually feel better down the road. Aspirin and other knee-jerk reactions and temporary fixes ain't gonna do it.

All in all, we are still paying $30,000 for a Freakin Mustang. Even more for a Truck.

I just see government intervention in 'vital' industries as un-natural in a free market system
I work on my GM cars to make money , but we have been getting pounded on really low flat rate pay under warranty -taking the pay cuts the assembly line workers refuse to take
this is going to get worse [for me]
but since the car companys let the congress urinate on them 40 years ago , it has been going downhill

It's real simple, Be American, Buy American. Time to worry about the USA and saw "screw the rest of the world" after all, what do they do for us?

              My piece of advice ..

Read (not the interweb) educate yourselves, invest wisely , make a business plan for yourselves going forward on how to get to place where you will need to be at age ( xx) constantly adjust , plan ,make wise investments

If you have a ok job , hang on to it until you can replace it with a better one--Dedicate a large portion of your funds for your future..

BUY PROPERTY .. My grandpa told me many years ago, .... they don't make land anymore

              (2 cents)

              ps

we will be ok .. Just make smart /wise decisions ...

Sort of like the old saying.....everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die to get there

The tough decisions have to be made here but no one wants to accept them
