I am getting ready for a rebuild of the McKinnon GM 283 that originally came in my '65 Studebaker Cruiser. I could have put a 350 in it, but decided to keep the original engine. It will be warmed over slightly but will be pained as original. Black block and valve covers. It will have silver exhaust and intake manifols. The original air cleaner will be adapted to the Edlebrock 4bbl and painted black as original (originally only a two bbl was offered.) I plan to put all original decals on the engine as well. Maybe understated, but I wanted it that way in the old four door.
