    Do any of you leave something in a vehicle for the next owners to find?
    I always try to leave something and date it.Never found anything
    in a vehicle that's worth talking about myself.

    I'm sure I've left a couple of joints in cars over the years. :

            When I pulled my 1972 Gran Torino Sport from the barn where it sat for a 17 year nap...

            You can't really tell, but there is a very early Mountain Dew can on the hood. I also pulled out a couple Mt Dew 16oz bottles. And a bunch of Captain Morgan, and Jim Beam bottles from the trunk. Only other thing was what the wildlife left in the car...aircleaner full of walnuts...the 4 barrel 351c cj heads had mice nests made in the exhaust ports {the mice went all the way from the end of the tailpipe though the mufflers up into the heads to make nests.}

            My parts car I got from California, came out of Nevada...had a bunch of small tidbits...stuff from Mexico like a few coins, parking lot stubs from California and Nevada.

              Not on purpose, but I'm sure they liked it. When I traded in my '73 Gran Torino, I forgot that I had left a HURST Auto stick/3 ratchet shifter in the trunk, all it needed was a new cable. When I went back to the dealer a week later, the car had already been wholesaled.

                When I bought my Impala, the pile of stickers on the license plate was near an inch thick. At the bottom was a decal that was in near perfect shape and was 1967. I left it on for the whole year because it was the same blue color as the year of that year's registration. Only cop noticed it, pulled me over, then laughed when I showed him the registration with new decal still stapled to it. He was sure the car hadn't been registered in 32 years.

                          When I found the MG that I ended up giving to my Dad, there was a registration in the glove box... 1981. 27 years.... there was also a base parking ticket to the Senior Airman kid who owned it and did the unspeakable things to the engine. Also a receipt for exhaust work from 1979.
