Instead of a multiple lock system they use huge "bathtubs" which raise ships up an lower them down.
Visited it a couple of times back in the eighties, impressive.

Brother, swimming ain't the issue(hell yes I can swim)...if one of those things fail with a ship in the air, it's the sudden stop at the end that's gonna have me all out of sorts....LMAO
