  • Don't ya hate it when....

You spend a lot of time working on something and then later realize it was not even necessary?

    2 examples:

    1. cut a hole in my hood only to find it was not necessary

    2. built an alternator mount only to find the stocker fit the truck even better. >

But sometimes it goes the other way. In the "hole in the hood" department - I knew I needed one to work with the new intake on the Camaro, but had no clue of how to get it in the right place. About the time I needed the info, there's Tonya Turk in HRM doing the layout by making a grid over the hood opening w/tape. I followed her lead and "VOILA" - hole in the right place and the right size.

So ya, I've done lots of screwing up, but sometimes it works.

Just goes to show you that the meaning of experience should read.

What I got from not getting it right the first time.
Keep smiling, makes them wonder whats on your mind.

I usually spend more money trying to do something on the cheap than I would have just doing right in the first place. :-[

you use one of them cheap nylon lines to
your oil presser gauge (you were gonna
get a better on later) and it squirts yer shoe
full of oil on the way to a job interveiw :o

I had to cut a hole for a High rise intake on a Sunbird.
The hood bar slipped out of the holder and the Air filter Screw gave me a great starting point.
