66 degrees in Ridgecrest Ca. I actually had to open the garage door because I was working up a sweat wrenching on the Mercury. ;D
Just groovin' to my own tune.

I thawed some brats, but ended up spending the day at my buddy's house fixing the entry door into his garage and hanging out. Afterwards, he bought my dinner at Chili's. Brats tomorrow night!

I smoked a Boston Butt last week. I usually keep it in the smoker until it's 190 degrees, for pulled pork. This time, I pulled it out at 180 so I can have sliced pork... for sammiches. I'm still workin' on finishing it off!

The amazing thing about boston butt is that you don't really have to do anything special to it... it always tastes awesome. I make a simple dry rub that I put on it that people seem to like; I know I like it.
            1 Tbsp fresh cracked pepper
            1 Tbsp salt
            1 tsp paprika
            1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

My good man.........gas is for heat, indoors cooking, propulsion and torches.

BBQ is done via charcoal or wood chips....

                  Griiling in the snow?

hmmmm-MIGHT have hit 80 here today-naw weather underground says it was only 79-and the reporting station is right near my house/shop so I know the 80 must be an exageration!! got the 428 pistons out of the block and confirmed the block and crank are nice, and I got the drivers door removed so I can rebuild the top hinge and replace the lower hinge. also drank some wine with out of town freinds, great day all in all!

                          Re: BBQ Time!

I don't care how cold it is, I 'cue at least once a week. Below zero doesn't stop me. I did 4 New York strips tonight, it was 14 degrees. I will confess to using propane sometimes in the winter, but charcoal is the correct way.

This is not effin' fair! I don't care how cold it is outside, but I would BBQ everyday if I could.

I haven't eaten BBQ in almost 4 years. Since I moved to the city I've been dieing to eat BBQ. My neighbourhood has some ridiculous bylaw that apartments (and condos) can't have BBQs and this is supposed to be free and democratic country?! > lol

I'm literally salivating at the thought of a steak right now. I hope you enjoyed it.

Excellent idea Beagle! I thought about it a while back but I had forgotten about it. Oh man, I'm gonna look into one for sure. However, to expand on what HEMI said above a man's gotta have women, beer, BBQ, and cool cars...if you deprive him of one he will go crazy!
