AVG is the best there is. Also use Ad-aware, Spybot and C-cleaner.

Both Norton and McAfee are resource hogs which slows down the computer, and their updates are troublesome. Avast and AVG work much better and don't slow down the computer, updates are a snap, and they're free. Personally, I use Avast, Firefox and Thunderbird through a router. Can't do much better than that.

I've messed with a couple computers that have Norton, it seems to me that it is worse than a virus....
