  • Vintage Decals/Stories & Sources?

Are you looking for '50s/'60s/'70s "old-school"

    (original or high-quality accurate repros)

    speed-equipment & "hotrodder" decals?

Have you found really good sources for them?

Back in the mid-late '60s, it seemed everyone's

vent windows had a decal...not necessarily the

    same on both sides.

During the Vietnam era, it was very common to

see a wind-blown American flag on a clear plastic

background on many vent windows (Amoco stations

    gave you one w/a fill-up).

Another frequently seen vent window decal was the

"A' Go-Go" series. They were made for all makes,

    "Chevy A' Go-Go", "Ford A' Go-Go", etc. The make

was at the top, with a pie-crust slick below that

in the middle, and "A' Go-Go" along the bottom.

Speed shops of all sizes of the day sold them,

    including Honest Charley, Midwest, etc.

What decals from those years are you looking for,

or would like to find? Which ones have sentimental

value to you? Which did/do you think were among the

    "coolest"?

Please share your sources and/or vintage decal stories!!---------------TIA!!--------------

    Re: Vintage Decals/Stories & Sources?

I've collected a bunch of vintage speedshop/brand logo's on my site.

    Here's the direct link to them;

I've been thinking of putting some kind of Bonneville LSR or Speedshop-logo on the side of my '62 Chrysler wagon, so it resembles a push- or speedshop-car of the time. I'm not sure which way to go with this thing actually.
