I do my work in a dusty old falling down garage... but it's very well lit, same scenario. (oil company building was torn down, got the lighting)

      Good score.

        excellent score!

I was surprised to find out how expensive it's become to light a garage decently. I could use a good score like this lately!!

i figured 4 would work. 5 would be better.6 is overkill.
i got 8. you might be able to see it from space...

                  Re: SCORE

Score - maybe! I've been replacing mine with electronic ballasts and T8 lights - lower energy consumption and better light. In a 20x24, I have 12 4x2 fixtures, an 8' 4 bulb over the bench and some 2' singles over the lathe and welding bench. Another main advantage of the electronic ballasts is that they work in the cold. I can get the shop up to around 65 when it's 20ish outside and if it wasn't for the new ballasts, there'd be no light until it got in the 50s in there. Rather expensive to update an existing fixture - cheaper to buy a whole new 4' fixture than a new ballast.

Mine flicker some when the shop gets down to 50, but that is not often.

huh, I guess that would 'splain why the light in my 'regular' garage won't come on all the way lately.... learn somethin new every day.
