Re: Future Mini Mopars!
If gas prices shoot back up, they would sell a boatload of them. They're very popular in Europe, but then again, so is soccer. ;D
Seriously though, good, fun little car, could be a good one for the "young crowd" if the price is right when it lands in North America.

Re: Future Mini Mopars!
Fiat has produced a version of that car since WWII - when we were in Italy, we would laugh at the women in very expensive full length fur coats in those 200.00 cars.
How true this is, I dunno - but it makes for interesting discussion fodder - the older versions of those cars key was the same; thus you could easily steal the car... however, it was all good as if you "lost" your car, you'd just "borrow" another to do your running (as the keys were the same)... thus you may never see the car you actually own for long periods of time (if ever).
Doing it all wrong since 1966

Now instead of Chrysler building big crappy cars and trucks, they'll be building little crap cars and trucks. Fiat is got to be one of the crappiest cars built. If that's their way of saving grace, hang up the towel now.

It's a new world and America could use some fresh ideas, Fiat knows the European market and they also own a division with some exciting high-performance cars, FERRARI. Mopar needs to change with the times.

Re: Future Mini Mopars!
I'm not ashamed to say that I'd take the Abarth edition of a 500 and go harass Mini Coopers at the autocross. I owned an SVT Focus for a year or two and depending on the circumstances little cars can be a hoot (although this thing makes a Focus look like a Coupe De Ville size-wise).
It would be like having a 160hp go kart.
