Not happy about "improvements"

Not much help when I scroll down to the bottom of the page and then have to go back to the top to change pages.
Even worse when I cant choose the page that I want to go to without going to the last post and going backwards.
I am not afraid of change but an improvement is the usual reason for change and you didn't get it here.
