Is it just me, or is commenting and participation in the forum way down since the change?

I don't think it's you but I could be wrong.

Obviously I don't know what activity was like before...however, having done several of these type of exercises now, I do know that any major upgrade can take a while for people to get used to.

Also, to compound it, for a short while all the threads tend to be "how do I?" threads, or discussing the change, which others can get bored with so they stay away.

I'm confident activity will pick up as people get used to it....this has been the case whenever I've been involved in this sort of thing before.

I think it's definitely on the rebound. I have been watching the "users online" thing and a few days ago it was not uncommon for there to only be 7 or 8. Now it's like nearly 200.

I told Lohnes on Tuesday "If you build it they will (bitch and moan and eventually get over themselves and) come".

I told Lohnes that the crowd (me!) is fickle and will soon forget the troubles we had

It won't really be the same until Spidey puts down his forty and starts quipping nonsense . . . and there's another titanic Big Al versus DG bout . . . Just sayin'

I was asked to keep my opinions to myself, so I have. Still waiting for this place to work out it's problems before I start posting again. Have no interest in figuring out everything right now.

My take was to wait for things to calm down, have most of the bugs worked out, and then start posting again. I still dropped in, saw the gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes and decided to wait.

                          It'll cure itself.
                          I'm still learning

Most major issues are now sorted and the look and feel of the forum is pretty much complete. It's mainly general mopping up of minor issues and minor tweaking that's going on now.

So feel free to dive back in. If you encounter specific issues, please do post in one of the upgrade issues threads (there are several), I'll do my best to assist.

I'll be around for a few weeks but I'm not here for ever (at least not this intensely) so make the most of it.

Are we stuck with the little blue button to get to the last post rather than sorting in ascending or descending order as previously ?
                              I guess it's a little red button(s) now.
