Lemme guess - they own Harley's too, and tend to do the same thing two lanes wide... LOUD and SLOW, smelling of BenGay and New Leather.

    wow, I sound jaded.

Gas mileage... and license removal. Probably not at the same time.

The rear 3/4 view shows a coke-bottle shape that invokes a "Dodge" feeling to me. Meh.

New cars just don't excite me anymore. They are becoming "transportation computers" and I despise fixing computers.

A bottle of Jack Daniels and a '78 Fiesta would accomplish the same results . . . Just sayin'

I like that Fiesta, but I drink and drive... Thunderbird!

            I like this Fiesta too

            BUT...

instead of playing fake engine sounds through the stereo (entertainment center, whatever the hell they call that junk in the dashboard any more) I'm thinking the sound of Vettimus Prime would be entirely too much fun and I'd probably never get tired of it.

Maybe I'm a 12 year old boy here - we know from the FnF Roadkill ratrod v. Lambo that wannabe skank girls migrate to the nasty old POS "bad boy" dirt rod, and 12 year old boys like the Lambo. I like the 'vette but it's well known I never made it past 15.

I still look forward to driving my late-model Coyote V8 daily . . . . I'd bet some of the C8 buyers (the few who will actually DRIVE their cars frequently) will feel the same way.

              But I'd agree with BBR if we're talking about a typical overly-automated FWD with an automatic transmission . . . or a CUV . . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

              Happy Motoring!

Sorry, Beags, but that's a Festiva, not a Fiesta. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/at-the...9-ford-shogun/

Personally I love how they look. They look modern and apeal to the younger generation. To me the C5 (although I generally like it) was designed to appeal to middle aged men. I know everyone will say how middle age people are the general target audience, but I think its not a real sports car if kids are dreaming of having one someday. American cars used to be cutting edge, and now were headed back that way and all the 'traditionalists' are complaining. Its just funny to me I guess. But everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. I think it looks great! (and this is coming from someone who works for ford...)

Check the demographics . . . Corvette customers are mostly older people who can afford to pay . . . Follow the money.

(That doesn't mean they shouldn't design 'em to appeal to the young, though . . . Bunkie Knudsen famously said:

You can sell a young man's car to an old man, but you'll never sell an old man's car to a young man.

that certainly isn't me - I have two gear ratio sets for my C3 2.87 and 3.08. in 4th gear, 2200 is the slowest the motor will turn and that's roughly 70.

plus, it is true - the faster you go, the quiet the sidepipes become

My C-5 is the same.......both the car and myself love it at speed limit + 5, at least. Faster it goes, the smoother and quieter it gets.
