I was cruisin' the net and found this. Is this guy crazy and gonna go bankrupt? Or crazy like a fox and ride the 'Green wave" all the way to the bank?.....Lemmee know what ya thunk!

Oh yeah - Is this morally right?

    Re: Electric 64 Mustang

yahoo video is way to profitable for me to be able to view it....but it sounds like a good laugh, my FIL has a 65 mustang he's been wanting to convert to electric for a while now. He's a cheapskate, not a tree hugger.

there is an electric roadster thread on the hamb and I was suprised
what one of them motors can put out! I think it was around 450hp and 1000ft pounds of tq, if i remember

they can only do that for a short burst, though

You can get it to go 80, but the whole point is to use it for a commute, so a 30-50 mile range and top speed of 60 is reasonable.

Performance costs money, price a Tesla.

Looks like we'll mostly all be driving gas powered stuff for a while yet!

            Re: Electric 65 Mustang

            I'd do it..
            on a ffr roadster..
            as you don't need a/c
            and it's lite.
and most don't go that far from home..

but the cost. is still to high. for most..

It would not surprise me in the least if some day I convert one (or more) of my cars to either Electric or Hydrogen power. I think it would be cool if it were practical.
              Escaped on a technicality.

Olds425===that's good....great engine, forged cranks were common in those. Olds rules.

When it comes to instant power, no combustion engine can compete with electric. Its all available instantly, lottsa torque. if ya can keep it from catching fire....
