I was out today and saw this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. 425 Cu. In. Power everything. couldn't get a pic of the dash but they have this really cool 'rotary' speedometer....cell phone pics... pls 4give.
My UPS buddy saw this 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk out in a guy's front yard, yesterday afternoon. This one has the four-barrel carbureted version of Studebaker's 289-cubic-inch (4.7 L) V8 engine (225 horsepower) teamed with a Flight-O-Matic automatic transmission.
When I started at EPA those were in with the in-crowd. I was not among them. One of the guys had a Bavaria that the Euro-fans thought was pretty hot, too.
Thought you guys might find this interesting. It's at my buddy David Rackley's shop for some work. The body seems pretty much stock other than the '56 Packard tail lights and Frenched antennas. I don't know anything about that car other than what you can see - and it seems to be well done.
I'm back!!! Some of these were snapped at redlights or on the road so the quality isn't the greatest. The last pic here was a Nova II wagon gasser and that's the clearest shot I could get of it.
