I got to talk with the guy that owns the blue Superbird, He's owned it for 50 years and it has 700,000 miles on the body. It is a real 440 Superbird, not a clone. I was in too much awe to ask many coherent questions, it's been a really, really long time since I've seen one in the wild, and even longer since I've seen one on the road outside of Power Tour. I seriously have never even heard of one with this many miles on it.

This morning at the stoplight near the house. This cat must be a tourist, he'd been in the line at Starbucks when I came by earlier. I don't believe I'd ever seen one live and for sure never heard one run. Listen to this thing, it sounds like it's winding 10,000 when it pulls away and it wasn't going any faster than the red truck behind it, just town cruising. I'm satisfied now, I don't believe I want one. Besides, if I could fall down into it I'd never be able to squirm back out.

If he's in Cleveland pdub, he's probably lost & can't find his way out. Much like when we were there trying to find the local HIE after dark on the '13 PT. Loooong story about street names that got changed & a certain GPS that didn't get the memo. It's funny now but it wasn't at all then. I did a pretty impressive burnout when we finally found the place but I had already blown past the driveway.

And the HIE is the one very closest motel to Weeville, about a mile as the crow flies. Dan and Paula Barlow paid us a visit when they were joyriding the eastern seaboard when Dan first got Blue 92. He said their GPS brought them in on Frontage Road. That's the wrong (direction) way, about a 6 mile winding countryside tour de nature.

One time I bought the cheapest GPS I could find (~$30), thinking gadgets have REALLY come down in price. Unit had a doctor's appointment, let's see which way this thing would have us go out of curiosity. It said go out to the stoplight, turn RIGHT, go under the interstate to the end of that road....it was unreal the path it plotted, the doctor's office is downtown. I threw the new GPS in the garbage. Unit said let's keep it and laugh at it, it's funny. Nope, that's not funny, especially when you don't already know where you're going.

That's a roadster (removable top), but I can't say more than that. Nice catch my friend!

Came across this today at my buddy David Rackley's shop just up the street from me here in town. I think it's a '63 as I dig thru the cobwebs of my old mind. The paint is Red Firemist and the wheels are aftermarket but I think work well on this ol' girl.

I've never had much of a passion for barges or convertibles but that thing's sweet. I can see me sitting in that wearing a Big Dave hat. Yep.

And I'll bet that's a land speed record holding truck on the left border of the photo, peeking.
