Re: GPS used to stop speeders.

They started doing it with EZ-Pass (electronic toll tag) in NY. On the NY Thruway they scan your tag at every entrance/exit and normally it's used to bill you for the length you traveled on the road. Then they start giving tickets if you covered something like 120 miles in 55 minutes. There was a big stink about it and since EZ-Pass is run buy a private company under contract with the state they determined it was unlawful for the Police to use EZ-Pass records for tickets.

Yer i know they'er robing us with taxes with every thing we do, even keeping money in the bank cost's us, but im not sure they could get away with that much of an increase, even if it was spread accross the board.
By the way anybody got any idea how much revenue is raised from traffic offences in their relitive state? ???

im of the opinion that if you are such a hopless drunk that you need tested EVERY time you start your car, that perhaps you shouldnt OWN a car or a drivers license.

also id be serving time in prison if the MAN could see the speeds ive reached in my mustang every time ive gone over the limt, everywhere.. as would many of us here..

funny story and somewhat on topic. i was haulin ass over gandy bridge(here in tampa fl) going about 125 mph. there were headlights behind me and i thought they were from a friend i had just been... well you know. my radar/laser dector went off and wouldnt you know it, the head lights were from a cop. he pulled up beside me at 120 or so and gave me the dirtiest look. needlest to say i slowed way down.
this was back when i was 17 and now iam 32 and i now save it for the track.
