wow , I never wouldve thunk it. the v6 is rated at 29 mpg highway. and more than expected by GM.

Have you read about the tuning methods on these new engines yet? it's NOTHING like you've seen (unless you've worked on atlas engine retuning). There aren't any VE tables, MAF tables, nothing like that at all. The software is a "model" that only has like 5 tunable parameters. I'd hate to be the guys at HPT or EFILive and figuring that out.
Look into "X-Tau" enrichments if you want to read about modelling. It's sick. The MS guys are playing around with it and from what I hear - it's not going to be understood in the mainstream for a while.
Still. I can't wait to get my hands on a DI motor just to play with. They only run about 25% duty cycle to make OEM power. Supplemental injectors will be the ticket here.
